On the occasion of Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Croatia, the official Band Aid music video for the song “Together in Christ – Band Aid” was produced, bringing together more than 30 musicians in a project that conveys a strong message of unity, faith, and togetherness through music.
The video was directed and edited by Katja Restović, with cinematography and post-production by Josip Ružić (Rose Art), assisted by cameraman Marin Brkljač. Robert Kozjak was responsible for make-up during the shoot, while Ana Sever handled photography and production coordination.
“When Luka called me, I felt extremely honored to be invited to take part in such a project,” says Katja Restović. “Creating an official Band Aid video for the Pope’s visit was a great responsibility, but also a truly meaningful experience.”
The production involved extensive travel and a demanding shooting schedule across four different cities – Split, Zadar, Zagreb, and Rijeka. Despite the challenges, Restović emphasizes that this dynamic process added a special energy to the project.

“I especially enjoyed working with such a large number of musicians. It was a unique format that gave me creative freedom, and one I was truly satisfied with. I believe we created something valuable and that I managed to visually shape the emotion of Luka’s song in a way that made him happy, as well as everyone involved,” Restović points out. The project “Together in Christ – Band Aid” remains a lasting musical and visual record of unity and faith during a significant moment in Croatia’s recent history.
